Senior Scientist
Dr. Hans-Jürgen Eisler
Diploma in Chemistry, venia docenti in Experimental Physics and Nanoscience
Telefon: (49) 0721 / 79004-31

Dr Hans-Jürgen Eisler brings exceptionally deep scientific expertise in quantum technology. Over many years, he conducted research on quantum dots, nano-optics and single quantum systems; his scientific environment also included work with Moungi G. Bawendi at MIT, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2023. This period of research also resulted in several patents, including those on semiconductor nanocrystals and optical materials.
After decades of intensive scientific work, Hans-Jürgen Eisler is now passionately dedicated to the question of how these technologies can be translated into practical applications. At TLB, he supports the transfer of developments in quantum technology, optics and semiconductor technology towards industrial use and real-world deployment.
It is clear that this topic also matters to him on a personal level: he is deeply committed to ensuring that quantum technology does not remain confined to the lab, but finds its way into real life and creates genuine added value there. Connecting excellent research with concrete applications is therefore not just a professional task for him, but a true personal mission.
Junior Scientist
Julia Mündel
Qualified physicist; Diploma in engineering (Grande école)
Telefon: (49) 0721 / 79004-37
Mail: muendel(at)tlb.de
Julia Mündel combines scientific precision with a clear focus on the practical exploitation of technological innovations. As a graduate engineer, she works at TLB at the interface between research, intellectual property and industrial application, guiding technologies in fields such as optics, photonics and quantum technology towards commercial use. She is a contact person for various high-tech topics, including quantum computing and quantum communication.
As a passionate physicist, Julia is particularly pleased to be able to work professionally in quantum physics more than ten years after completing her degree. Being able to help guide quantum technologies from research into real-world applications is therefore not only an exciting area of responsibility for her, but also a genuine personal motivation.
