New offer from TLB GmbH for the commercialisation of intellectual property rights after the end of WIPANO

TLB GmbH is offering its clients and shareholders a new option for the commercialisation of intellectual property rights. This is TLB GmbH's response to the discontinuation of federal WIPANO funding for intellectual property rights from universities and colleges and has modified its business model in the field of exploitation services.

Following the discontinuation of WIPANO funding from 2024, our partner universities and colleges will face the challenge of not inconsiderable funding shortfalls for the protection of newly developed technologies. To compensate for this to some extent, TLB is responding with a modification to its exploitation model: university inventions are exploited at the risk of TLB GmbH; no service costs are incurred in advance during the exploitation phase. The not inconsiderable risk of active exploitation is significantly reduced for our clients. As compensation, TLB receives a commission of 30 per cent of the exploitation income generated in the event of success. A win-win situation in the event of success!

We sell and license your patents worldwide

We search for and find global buyers and licensees for market-oriented university and academic inventions. We benefit from our large contact network that has grown over the years. We also negotiate the financial terms of the agreement once these market partners successfully merge. Our long-standing experience in drafting and negotiation of license agreements helps us in these processes. After successful completion, we assume contract controlling and the resulting claims on your behalf.
